Ticket and Refund Policy

Last updated 12 October 2026

In short:

1. If the event is cancelled

When an organiser cancels an event, every ticket is refunded in full, including the booking fee. You do not need to do anything: we start the refund through Paystack and email you when it is on its way.

2. If the event is postponed, moved or changed

If the date, start time or venue changes in an important way, or the main act advertised no longer appears, your ticket stays valid for the new arrangement. If the change does not suit you, email support@eventme.fit within 14 days of the announcement and you will get a full refund, booking fee included.

3. If you can no longer attend

Tickets are for a specific event on a specific date, so they are not refundable if you change your mind or cannot attend. The seven day cooling off period for online purchases does not apply to leisure services booked for a specific date (section 42 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002). Some organisers choose to allow refunds or transfers; if the event page says so, contact support@eventme.fit and we will arrange it with them.

4. Duplicate or wrong payments

If you were charged twice, or paid but did not receive a ticket, email us with the payment reference from your Paystack receipt. We check it with Paystack and either send your ticket or refund the extra payment in full.

5. Entry refused

If you are refused entry because of the organiser’s mistake, for example a venue over capacity, you get a full refund. Refunds are not given when entry is refused for breaking the event’s rules, for a ticket already scanned by someone else, or for age limits shown on the event page.

6. How and when refunds are paid

7. Free tickets and RSVPs

Free tickets have no payment to refund. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your RSVP on the event page so someone on the waiting list can take your place.

8. Questions

Email support@eventme.fit with your name, the event and your payment reference. We answer within 2 business days. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. See also our Terms of Use.
